The teacher

​​Ms Pavla Mataskova is a qualified secondary school teacher and teacher of English as a foreign language. She is a graduate from School of English at the University of Leeds, and has been teaching Czech as a foreign language for 3 years.

 

 

Currently the lessons are run every Friday from 6 – 7 pm at the Czech Community Centre in Old Trafford (M16 9HQ).

The lessons are run in a group of max. 6 students and cost £20 per lesson.

Students are taught to be able to communicate effectively. Grammar has to be means and not a goal of the lessons. Therefore, grammar exercises in a textbook are complemented by my own materials: images, authentic texts, interactive presentations or games that encourage communication.

Students’ needs are my priority: tuition is adapted to their level and needs. We strive to make every lesson useful and entertaining at the same time. From experience I know that satisfaction with the course and the practical application of acquired knowledge and skills stimulates appetite to learn, which in turn helps to easily and quickly achieve the desired results.
